One of the questions I get daily is how do you stay so positive. To me personal development is very important. Something that requires work on the daily. I am not always positive and sometimes I find myself in a negative rut. My top 5 tips for avoiding this.
1. Look around... who are you surrounding yourself with. Are these people positive, uplifting, empowering people. Avoid people who are always putting others down. What people say and do is a big reflection of who they are. So pick your friends carefully.
2. Stop trying to prove yourself. Stop trying to prove yourself to your employee, partner, friends, family. Be you and do you. Stop focusing on what others want and focus on what you want. If they cannot value you for you, then you don't need them in your life. I love the saying 'you were not designed for everyone to like you'. 3. Forgive. Let go of things and move on. I always think if the world was to end tomorrow would this issue or problem really matter. The answer is no. Let go of things and move forward.
4. Do things that make you feel good. Give back, love, care for and make others smile. You'll be amazed of how it'll make you feel.
5. Remove all toxic people and things from your life. If you hate your job, find a new one. If you see something negative about you, remove it and move on. If you don't engage in things, they cannot affect you.
